For 30 years, I have been selling real estate in northwest Philadelphia and lower Montgomery County. I feel extremely fortunate to have been very successful. As a matter of fact, I have led my office in sales every year. Hard work, organization, attention to detail, and education have all contributed to the yearly sales production. I think, most of all, my success may be due to realizing that life isnt just real estate. Life, for me, has been a coming together of all kinds of opportunities and terrific people, starting with my wonderful husband, Tom, my three super children, John, Chris and Susan, my beautiful grandchildren, Iris, Phoebe, Teddy, Gus, Will and Beatrice and a coterie of warm and caring friends. Maybe thats why I chose the picture you see on this web page. Thats me in front of a stone ruin in Ireland. My dear friend, artist Alice McEnerney Cook, snapped me in Donegal holding my business card for fun. Taking a break with family and friends is very important. Its what makes it possible for me to give the sustained professional attention to your real estate transactions when you need me. And it makes it possible to look outside myself, as we all must do, to give back to my community whenever I can. And I love Philadelphia! What a marvelous city offering so many opportunities! How lucky Tom and I have been to be able to raise our children here. Philadelphia is full of the gritty realities of a northeastern city. It has its share of urban blight, poverty, and crime. But it also offers neighborhoods with character and tradition, great museums, a world-class orchestra, innovative theatre, extraordinary educational institutions, the vitality of cultural diversity, a rich texture of history and architecture, and, amazingly, more sylvan parkland within its borders than any other city in the country. Not to mention the World Champion Phillies! This is a city of extraordinary accomplishment, and it is full of promise. It is a place where a person can make a mark. It is a place where the rewards of reaching out are without measure. So, no, life isnt just real estate. For me it is also family, friends, the Germantown Friends School, Habitat for Humanity, Historic Grmantown and Chestnut Hill Historical Societies, my block of Pulaski Avenue, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Lyric Fest, Preservation Alliance, the Academy of Natural Sciences, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Germantown Relief Society and more.
